Let’s Talk… is a podcast-based research project which hopes to provide the students of Ireland with a platform to voice and celebrate their differences. Let’s Talk… aims to highlight the importance of inclusion for students who identify with groups that are marginalized or othered within Irish society by creating a podcast mini-series that shares personal views and experiences of inclusion within college, covering topics of feminism, LGBTQ+ rights, ethnicity and living with a disability. Our objective is to connect with fellow college students in Ireland and to share information with them that is easily accessible and digestible. Between our podcast and the information found on our website, we hope that by raising awareness and educating on the topic of inclusion, it will help to improve inclusivity for those students who feel marginalized or othered in Irish society.

Artistay is a social media campaign focused on saving the performing arts. Our idea came from witnessing the precarity that COVID-19 inflicted on the entertainment sector. The campaign is primarily featured on our Instagram page. We have interviewed several people involved in the performing arts including well known comedian Oliver Callan.

TogetherWith
TogetherWith is a project that wishes to help the well-being of young people who feel lonely. The project utilizes creativity to connect young people by encouraging them to take part in collective, cooperative, and collaborative activities. This aims to help in forging positive relationships between young people. Research conducted as part of this project shows loneliness feeling can be relieved by people’s desire to connect. Research similarly indicates creative activities can be a mechanism by which people can unite. The project uses a website to host the activities, as well as using Instagram and Twitter to assist in this. Activities people can participate in include collages, poetry, music videos, photography, and stories.

Supporting Our Students is a campaign project that uses social media as a primary platform, having the ability to be implemented across multiple devices. The project is an engaging social media campaign that uses popular applications such as TikTok and Instagram. The campaign’s primary goal is to create content that will help students with the issues that they regularly face during their time in third-level education. The project focuses on posting bite-sized content on social media such as video content demonstrating quick student meals, infographic content providing students with tips and tricks, and graphic content with motivational quotes. This content provides useful information to students as well as engages in relevant and current trends in the today’s student demographic.
